June's newsletter is now up and ready to be viewed!

Thank you all for another fantastically successful year for Eco-Schools. This month saw the culmination of our Green Flag assessments for 2018/19, well done to all the schools that achieved Green Flag this year and thanks to all our brilliant assessors for all the vital work you do for us.

We’d like to welcome Georgina Black to the Eco-Schools team she will be our new Eco-Schools Officer organising Green Flags. Georgina was in her Eco-Committee when at Glenlola Grammar school in Bangor when they received their first Green Flag. She has since received a First Class Honours in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from QUB. She has worked on various conservation projects with TCV and RSPB and keeps bees and a small flock of sheep at home.

We wish you all a fantastic summer break but before you head off read the round up below and reflect on all your own successes this year too!

We have seen wonderful work in schools achieving the Green Flag this year 134 so far and counting – there still some more to come in June.

We’d like to wish our hard working Eco-Schools Officer, Cathy, all the best as she heads off on maternity leave later in June.
